Results. The scholarly publications dealing with the study of the life, activities and international-strategic heritage of Z. Brzezinski can be divided into three basic groups. First one comprises monographs, dissertations and articles on Brzezinski's life, activities and views of the problems international development and American international politics authored by the American,
Polish, French and British scholars. Second one consists of the research findings of the Ukrainian scholars. Third one comprises the general histories of President Carter Administration containing assessments of Brzezinski's activities. Among the publications in question Brzezinski's biographies  penned by E.Luce, A.Lubovski, J.Vaїsse, P.Vaughan and collective monograph edited by
Ch.Gati deserve to be specially mentioned as the ones making substantial contribution to the research field. The only major publication which focuses on the Brzezinski's intellectual biography as international strategist still remains the monograph
authored by  T.Hryshchenko.
Conclusions. Despite the tangible results has been achieved in the field of the solving of the problem in question, its further study,  particularly relying on the expected  new openings in the source base, remains on the professional agenda. Brzezinski's strategic heritage constitutes substantial interest in the light of newest world tendencies.
