Purpose, tasks and scope

The purpose of the journal "Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
History" to provide a communication platform for the researchers and scholars who study History and Historical disciplines both in Ukraine and abroad; to present the results of dissertation researches of doctoral candidates; enable young scientists, graduate students and students to master the methods of preparation and publication of scientific articles; to introduce into the circulation new sources and materials.

Types of publications: editor's notes, original research articles, review articles, reviews, and corrections.

Problematics. Editorial board accepts the articles on the History of Ukraine, World History, Archaeology, Archival studies, Regional studies, Ethnic studies, Historiography, Source studies and other Historical disciplines. The preference is given to the study of the liberation movements in Ukraine and other countries; studies, that are based on the previously unpublished archival or archaeological materials; biographical studies of the outstanding historical persons; researches, based on the methodic of the gender studies, microhistory, intellectual history etc.

Sections:

  • Scientific Articles – original papers and the results of dissertation research are being published.

  • Documents and Materials – previously unpublished sources or the translations with author’s commentary are being published.

  • Reviews – reviews of the monographs and the articles are being published.

  • Scientific Chronicle – the results of the scientific conferences, seminars, round tables, and other scientific or education events are being published.

Materials of all sections are indexed and receive unique digital object identifier (DOI).
